If you have a 2013 Focus ST, with a build date between Feb 14th 2013 and Oct 14th 2013, there's a recall for our wiring harness. If you're on Focusst.org at all, you've seen tons of complains of idle issues, and the TSB out to fix these. Dealers pushed a lot of resistance against doing this TSB unless very specific parameters were met, but now it's a full-blown recall. I've got a build date of 5/2013 and my Focus ST is included in the recall. Pulled this off Focusst.org-

If you login to owner.ford.com, you will also see if it applied to you. Looks like they won't begin fixing until September 29th, but that's a start!

Unfortunately we can't until Sept. 29th :(. Thats when Ford is saying dealer will have the fix and parts and whatnot. This just came out yesterday. Anyway to tag Focus ST owners on Oppo? there's a bunch!

Is there a similar notice for regular 2.0 models from 2013-14 model years? Up to now I've been blaming the weirdness on the DCT transmission (dealer confirmed an extended warranty is in place in writing).

Not that I know of... I've heard and felt the DCT in the focuses and it's definitely an odd sensation.

Google search and your article just came up! Cool!

I went to start my car this morning to go put on some Hawk DTC 60 and Centric rotors for Road America next week. You know how when your car is cold and you hear the turbo spool up with the engine revving higher? Mine did none of that and said, something like "Engine Fault. Service Soon." Then "Hill Assist disabled." The car idled okay, but then was missing driving down the highway. It got worse and worse, so I pulled over and had it towed. It's in getting fixed right now. This happened about 4 hours ago. They said TSB, but I could see how it's a recall. I lost power on the highway. Thanks for the article!

Did you post this on the FoST forum yet? I could do a write up on my symptoms.

Yeah there's a whole thread on it there. That's actually where I got this info from hah. I get it once in a while when I turn the A/C on, so I'll definitely have it done.
